Presentation
Severe pain non-weight bearing after collision with a large dog.
Patient Data
Displaced fracture of the lateral tibial plateau with a large lipohemarthrosis.
Large lipohemarthrosis. Comminuted fracture of the lateral tibial plateau which appears to extend into the intercondylar spines. The main lateral tibial plateau fragments are depressed by at least 5 mm and there is a gap which is wider anteriorly than posteriorly. There is an associated fracture of the fibular/head neck junction.
Case Discussion
Comminuted combined cleavage and compression fracture of the lateral tibial plateau with associated fracture of the fibular head/neck region and large lipohemarthrosis.
