Presentation
The patient complains of left leg swelling for 7 years and pain for 5-6 days, with no history of trauma. Local examination shows varicose veins present in the left medial calf from the knee until mid-calf. No tenderness, no signs of DVT or ulcer, and the peripheral pulses are well felt.

Moderate to severe varicose veins are noted at the medial aspect of the calf.
Incompetent saphenopopliteal junction, with reflux of blood flow at the junction during the Valsalva maneuver.
Case Discussion
The sapheno-popliteal junction was dilated and incompetent.
The blood reflux was very clear and lasts for more than 1 second.
These varicose veins are significant and usually require surgical intervention
