Presentation
Right breast palpable mass on physical exam.
Patient Data

An isodense mass with an irregular margin and fine internal foci of calcifications is noted at the upper central portion of the right breast. (BI-RADS 4C)
Case Discussion
A BI-RADS 4 lesion under the breast imaging-reporting and data system refers to a suspicious abnormality. BI-RADS 4 lesions may not have the characteristic morphology of breast cancer but have a definite probability of being malignant. A biopsy is recommended for these lesions.
The patient underwent ultrasound guided core needle biopsy, and histopathologic evaluation confirms invasive ductal carcinoma.
