Presentation

Unilateral painful flat foot deformity in a known case of neurofibromatosis type I.

Patient Data

Age: 30
Gender: Female

Extensive plexiform neurofibromas of the distal tibial nerve and the plantar nerves involving the tarsal tunnel. The cutaneous ramifications of the superficial peroneal nerve are also affected. Marked atrophy of the intrinsic foot muscles.
