Info

Separation between the flexor tendon and the proximal phalanx of the ring finger with edema signal is present between them due to A2 pully tear of the ring finger (green arrow).

Axial images reveal torn pullys (green arrows) with wide separation of the flexor tendon and the proximal phalanx with fluid signal between them.

Case Discussion

Imaging findings are consistent with A2 pully rupture of the ring finger.

Finger pulley injury can occur at any one of the five flexor tendon pulleys of the fingers, but most commonly affects the A2 pulley.
