Presentation
Left-sided hearing loss and dizziness.
Patient Data

Left cerebellopontine solid mass lesion, with smooth regular surface, globular in shape and epicentered on internal auditory meatus. It shows low signal on T1 and high signal on T2 and FLAIR. Post-contrast enhancement is noted sparing clefts of few cystic changes.
It widens left internal auditory canal with intracanalicular component. It exerts mass effect in the form of indentation of left side of brainstem and anterior aspect of left cerebellar hemisphere. No associated hyperostosis or thickened/enhanced dural tail.
Case Discussion
Typical MRI features of left vestibular schwannoma rather than meningioma. The favoring features are: "ice cream cone" appearance, internal cystic changes, high T2 signal, widening of internal auditory canal, and absence of dural tail.
