Dark bands of signal loss are seen crossing horizontally through the axial acquisition.
Case Discussion
Crosstalk or slice-overlap artifact. If multislice acquisitions are overlapping, the protons belonging to more than one slice get saturated.
Prevention: use more shallow angles or move the overlapping region dorsally, out of the anatomy of interest.
