A subchondral fracture line is seen at the medial femoral condyle with surrounding marrow edema displaying bright PD FS signal.
Case Discussion
Subchondral insuffiency fracture of the knee is a reversible form of spontaneous osteonecrosis of the knee and affects individuals younger in age. Under conservative treatment the marrow signal abnormalities can return to normal.
