Info

A curvilinear hyperintensity is seen along the area of the infrapatellar plica in the midline. The hyperintense streak is connecting the inferior pole of the patella to the intercondylar notch region, which is highly suggestive of a ligamentum mucosum injury.
Case Discussion
The ligamentum mucosum (infrapatellar plica) is a common anatomical variant, if injured it can cause infrapatellar knee pain.
