Info

This patient has alcoholic cirrhosis and severe portal hypertension. She presented with bright red GI bleeding from her stoma. A superior mesenteric venogram was performed (via transhepatic portal vein puncture) to identify a source of bleeding. Unfortunately no contrast extravasation was seen, therefore a site of active bleeding was not identified.
