Presentation
Bilateral chronic hip pain.
Patient Data

There is cam deformity of both femoral necks that predisposes to impingement on hip flexion. There is severe joint space narrowing and established marginal osteophytes of the acetabular roof, more prominent on the left side.
Case Discussion
Two types of joint deformities have been described as causes of early degenerative joint disease. Pincer morphology (overcoverage of the femoral head) and cam morphology (bump formation at the femoral neck and asphericity) can also cooccur.
They can lead to femoroacetabular impingement and acetabular damage and predispose to early osteoarthritis.
