Honeycomb type appearance to both parotid glands with a heterogeneous appearance due to advance fatty deposition in the glands.
The submandibular glands are involved to a lesser extent.
Small morphologically benign lymph node abutting the anterior aspect of the superficial lobe of the left parotid gland.
Case Discussion
This study was performed for an alternative indication.
It does however give a nice example of the advanced fatty replacement that occurs in salivary glands in Sjogren's syndrome.
This was not provided in the initial clinical history, but identified in the notes subsequently.
