Presentation
Neck lump.
Patient Data

The enlarged right thyroid lobe extends the level of the right sternoclavicular joints, however it does not extend below the level of the sternal notch. Absent left thyroid lobe in keeping with previous hemithyroidectomy. No other mass lesion is identified within the neck.
Pharyngeal contours within normal limits. Parotid and submandibular glands have normal appearances. No cervical lymphadenopathy. No suspicious osseous abnormality. Calcified mediastinal and right hilar lymph nodes and right mid zone granuloma within the lateral aspect of the right lower lobe. These findings may reflect prior TB exposure.
Case Discussion
Non-contrast CT is often performed to assess the inferior extent of a goiter before thyroidectomy.
