Horizontal tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus with joint effusion and hypertrophy of the synovium in the suprapatellar pouch.
On a PD-weighted magnetic resonance imaging sagittal view: there's an injury of the tibial insertion of the anteromedial bundle of the anterior cruciate ligament.
Anomalous insertion of the anterior horn of the medial meniscus (AIMM).

Case Discussion
Early through to late-stage knee osteoarthritis has been linked with effusion-synovitis and synovial hypertrophy, especially when seen in the suprapatellar pouch.
