Osteopetrosis

Abnormal diffuse heterogeneous increased bone density is seen involving the spine, pelvic bones and both femora with expansion of the distal femora due to the patient's known diagnosis of osteopetrosis.
Healed malunited left proximal femoral fracture with deformity and increased lucency centrally indicating pathological fracture.
Case Discussion
This young lady with known osteopetrosis, presented after acute trauma. Pelvis x-ray demonstrated a generalized increase in bone density compatible with osteopetrosis, and no evidence of a new fracture despite the presence of a malunited old fracture of the left proximal femur.
