MRI of the brain and cord demonstrates numerous white matter T2 hyperintense lesions, particularly in a periventricular distribution. There are a number of juxtacortical, posterior fossa and enhancing lesions, easily fulfilling McDonald's criteria. 

Features are typical of multiple sclerosis.
