Presentation
Pelvic discomfort.
Patient Data
Multiple pelvic exostoses with a bulky calcified mass in the right ileum.
Multiple sessile and pedunculated osteochondromas of the pelvis and proximal femora. Large osteochrondroma arising from the right iliac wing with low-attenuation soft tissue mass with finer calcifications extending posteromedially and cranially along the course the psoas.
Case Discussion
This patient developed a symptomatic, partially calcified soft tissue mass at the site of existing osteochondroma, which is concerning for low-grade chondrosarcomatous transformation. This patient eventually underwent right hemipelvectomy with final pathology confirming chondrosarcoma.
