Leg pain. Necrosis in right 3rd toe.
Patient Data







The aorta shows concentric atherosclerotic plaque along its entire length. The plaque gradually thickens, beginning immediately below the renal arteries, with complete occlusion commencing below the origin of the inferior mesenteric artery. The femoral arteries are supplied by collaterals.
Circumaortic left renal vein.
The opacified urinary collecting system and bladder are the consequence of a prior CT study done earlier the same day.
Case Discussion
History of drug use and heavy smoking, epilepsy and hepatitis C. Has been suffering from leg pain for the past two years. Developed gangrenous necrosis in the right 3rd toe who weeks prior to admission.
The CT angiogram showed aortoiliac occlusive disease.
