Moderate joint effusion.
Detached minimally displaced osteochondral fragment with a high signal fluid around osteochondral fracture (rim sign) measuring about 5 x 20 mm involving the articular surface of the medial femoral condyle.
The medial meniscus shows radial tear along with the body and posterior horn.
Bone marrow edema along with anteromedial tibia plateau.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates an osteochondral defect involving the medial femoral condyle which is the most common location. Causes include osteochondritis dissecans, AVN, trauma, and post surgical.
