Case Discussion
A true concha bullosa extends all the way down, whereas an interlamellar cell is limited to the vertical component of the concha.
A concha bullosa predisposes to obstruction of the ostiomeatal unit and is frequently associated with deviation of the nasal septum away from the concha bullosa. They may become infected.
