Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Near complete opacification of the left frontal sinuses because of severe mucosal thickening. Single anterior ethmoidal cell ("agger nasi air cell") narrowing the left frontal recess. Deviation of the nasal septum to the left. Inserted nasogastric tube.

Case Discussion

Agger nasi air cells are anterior ethmoidal cells that may narrow the frontal recess that is responsible for drainage of the frontal sinuses. It is a potential cause of chronic frontal sinus disease.
