The MRI sequences demonstrate:
- Low lying cerebellar tonsils which are extended 10 mm below the foramen magnum
- dilated 3rd and lateral ventricles
- absent septum pellucidum
- multiple nodules isointense to the cortical grey matter on all sequences are noted along the ventricular margins, bulging into the ventricular lumen in keeping with subependymal grey matter heterotopia
