Chondrocalcinosis in the form calcification of the patellar articular hyaline cartilage and both menisci of the right knee joint is seen together with tricompartmental secondary osteoarthritic changes, predominantly at the patellofemoral compartment.
Case Discussion
Calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate deposition disease (CPPD) is the first possibility in this case considering the secondary osteoarthritic changes and the patient's age. However, further laboratory investigation was advised to reach a final diagnosis.
