1 month history of tingling in the right pelvis and hip, as well as visible swelling/lump.

Mass lesions overlying the right iliac crest with patchy calcification in a popcorn-like configuration. CT evaluation is recommended.

Small calcific focus in the left mid abdomen, possibly in a renal calyx.

Large mass lesion arising from the right ilium with internal chondroid matrix calcification. Defect through the ilium, but no acute pathological fracture. Extension into the gluteal muscles, iliacus, external and internal obliques and right flank subcutaneous fat.

Small calcific focus in the inferior pole of left kidney could represent a renal calculus.

Case Discussion

Findings in this case are consistent with high-grade chondrosarcoma. The patient was promptly referred to a sarcoma surgical speciality center for further management, where the diagnosis was confirmed.
