Choriocarcinoma of ovary with cerebral and pulmonary metastases
Presentation
Disorientation, drowsiness since 3 days. Patient was delivered 6 months back and is having lactational amenorrhea. On ultrasonography mass lesion in right ovary was discovered and her serum beta hcg was above 100000 IU.
Patient Data
On ultrasonography there is a well defined solid mass lesion is seen in the right ovary. The lesion is highly vascular.







There are multiple rounded large enhancing calcified supratentorial mass lesions are seen with surrounding edema. Imaging features are suggestive of metastatic choriocarcinoma.





There is a large lobulated soft tissue mass is seen in the lateral basal segment of right lower lobe. Imaging features are suggestive of metastatic choriocarcinoma
Case Discussion
Choriocarcinoma is highly malignant tumor and known to cause early metastasis to brain and lung.The tumor is highly chemosensitive so that early diagnosis and treatment is the key to prevent complications.
