Long-standing poor urinary stream. Markedly elevated prostate serum antigen (PSA) level in recent evaluation.

By injecting contrast medium through a Foley catheter, an elongated urinary bladder with irregular and trabeculated margins and multiple small diverticula is visualized, resembling a Christmas tree appearance.

Bilateral vesicoureteric reflux is also seen.

Several small osteoblastic lesions are also present in the bony pelvis, which are suspected of metastasis.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates a Christmas tree bladder in a patient with long-standing bladder outlet obstruction and pathology-proven prostate adenocarcinoma.
