Info

Left cingulate gyrus abnormality which is hyperintnese on T1, T2/FLAIR with surrounding moderate edema. No post contrast enhancement. Subsequent mild mass effect with compression on the ipsilateral lateral ventricle.
Normal MRA and MRV.
Case Discussion
- Late subacute hemorrhage is seen in the left cingulate gyrus.
- Blood stage is late subacute as it exhibits hyperintense signal on T1WI as well as T2WI.
- The best sequence to localize the site of this hemorrhage is the T1 sagittal plane.
- Such an atypical location needs further assessment, a post contrast study was done and no enhancing space occupying lesions were found.
