There is marked thickening of the scalp with ridges and furrows involving the dermis and subcutis, predominately on the left with anterior to posterior in direction, resembling the surface of the cerebral cortex. Involvement of the left upper neck is also noted.

Case Discussion

Cutis verticis gyrata is considered as a rare ​and progressive dermatological condition, characterized by thickening of the scalp with ridges and furrows involving the dermis and subcutis resembling the cerebral cortex. The involvement of the neck, buttocks, leg, and scrotum was also described in the literature 1
