The scan shows two fetuses. Fetus 1 is alive, with normal cardiac activity and fetal movements observed. The crown-rump length for Fetus 1 is 5.0 cm, corresponding to 11 weeks and 5 days of gestation.

Fetus 2 shows no cardiac activity, and no fetal movements are observed (fetal demise). The crown-rump length for Fetus 2 is 2.2 cm, corresponding to 9 weeks of gestation.

There is a discrepancy of 2 weeks and 5 days in the measured gestational age between the two fetuses.

Patient came for routine first trimester scan, with no complaints.

Scan done revealed twin pregnancy with a thick separating membrane noted. Fetus 1 is alive with normal cardiac activity and gross movements.

Fetus 2 shows demise with no cardiac activity or fetal gross movements seen.

No intervention was required and only counseling offered.
