Presentation
Shoulder pain, no pain within the humerus.
Patient Data
·A well defined lobulated intramedullary metadiaphyseal lesion occupying the proximal humerus displaying low signal on T1, bright signal on T2, STIR. Multiple hypointense foci within the lesion that representing calcification. No infiltration of the bone cortex or extraosseous spread. the lesion measuring about 2.5 x 2. x 5 cm.
Arthritic changes were seen involving the left acromioclavicular joint that is seen encroaching upon the subacromial space with subsequent impingement of the supraspinatus tendon displaying linear hyperintense signal in T2 WI and STIR sequence with no fibers discontinuity.
Case Discussion
The location and the signal intensity of the lesion with the calcification seen inside, all are in favor with an enchondroma.
