The left spermatic cord appears thickened and hyperperfused by fat as well as showing increased peripheral vascularity.
Relatively swollen and hyperemic adjacent epididymis.
No signs of orchitis detected.
Case Discussion
Funiculitis, is an inflammation of the spermatic cord, which commonly occurs following infection of adjacent anatomy, for example epididymis, testis, or urethra. It is usually a bacterial infection although a wide, non-infectious, differential is well-recognized.
