Info

A partially distended gallbladder in a non-fasted patient (child). There are dual gallbladder folds. The gallbladder is essentially normal, (limited images have been uploaded).
Case Discussion
An example of gallbladder folds that may be identified in a non-fasted gallbladder especially when imaging children. These are thick, non-continuous and identified at gallbladder junctions when the non-distended gallbladder has folded onto itself as demonstrated above. In contrast to the above, gallbladder septa are thin and often complete.
