Although not the method of choice, computed tomography of the abdomen showed thickening in the gastric antrum and pylorus region, with important enhancement.
Case Discussion
Contact the patient's physician was discussed supplementation with endoscopy, in which biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of gastric adenocarcinoma (ulcerated lesion in the antrum).
The use of water, rather than standard oral contrast, can be very useful is assessing the stomach, creating a negative contrast agent against the gastric mucosa.
