Hydrosalpinx

Case contributed by Mohammad Taghi Niknejad

Presentation

Work up for secondary infertility

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
Fluoroscopy

The endometrial cavity is slightly enlarged with no pathological filling defect and shows a normal shape and margin. Evidence of prior cesarean scar can be seen in the lower part of the endometrial cavity.

The complete proximal block of the right fallopian tube is visible.

Additionally, dilatation and contrast media stasis can be seen in the left fallopian tube, inferring hydrosalpinx so that a small amount of the contrast media has entered the pelvic space through the left fallopian tube.

Case Discussion

Right-sided blocked fallopian tube, left-sided hydrosalpinx and partial fallopian tube block in a patient with secondary infertility.
