Presentation

Diminished vision since 2 days, Headache since since 7 days

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Lumbar puncture revealed:

Opening pressure ~35 mm of Hg

ADA in normal range.

No other significant finding.

Case Discussion

Patient presented with diminished vision for 2 days and headache for 7 days. No significant past medical or surgical history. She received temporary relief with analgesics, steroids and other supportive care.

Lumbar puncture and CSF manometry performed revealed an opening pressure of ~35 mm of Hg

MRI brain with orbits revealed mild focal stenosis involving the lateral segment of bilateral transverse sinuses.

Fundus examination revealed CDR 0.1:1, flame hemorrhage and edematous disc suggestive of bilateral established papilledema.
