First presentation of a young adolescent female with features consistent with bilateral Madelung deformity.
Features include radial shortening, dorsal ulna subluxation, carpal subluxation and wedging with a 'V shape', widened distal radio-ulna articulation, and a positive ulna variance.
There are no shortened metacarpals.
Case Discussion
Incidental finding of a likely congenital and symmetric typical Madelung deformity in an adolescent female. The presentation is typical for age and sex, with a predilection for adolescent/late childhood females.
