Ballooning of the left renal pelvis with moderate hydronephrosis, and no visualized dilated left ureter, suggestive of pelviureteric junction obstruction on the left.
There is also a posterior midline scar at the upper pole of the left kidney.
The right kidney is missing, probably previous right nephrectomy, with calcification in the right renal bed.
Uncomplicated colonic diverticulosis.
Spondylodegenerative changes.
Case Discussion
Features of pelviureteric junction obstruction on the left. It is mostly reflecting a stricture at the pelviureteric junction, mostly acquired due to urinary tract infection. The left renal scar suggests recurrent episodes of pyelonephritis.
