Presentation
Right parotid region painless swelling for the last 3 months. No fever.
Patient Data

There is an ovoid, well-defined, heterogeneous hypoechoic mass lesion in the superficial lobe of the right parotid gland. There are no calcification/cystic areas. Acoustic enhancement is present. The lesion shows a few internal flow signals. It measures 20 x 19 x 12 mm. The rest of the superficial lobe shows normal echopattern without duct dilatation.
The superficial lobe of the left parotid gland, bilateral submandibular glands, and the thyroid gland are normal without any mass lesion. There is no cervical lymphadenopathy.
Case Discussion
A child presented with painless swelling of the right parotid region. Ultrasound shows a well-defined solid lesion in the superficial lobe of the right parotid gland.
The surgical excision of the lesion was done. Histopathology revealed the lesion being pleomorphic adenoma.
