The scout image of the CT scan demonstrates the typical signs of pneumoperitoneum. There is falciform ligament sign and football sign apparent here.

Case Discussion

Falciform ligament sign is a sign of pneumoperitoneum where air is outlining the falciform ligament making it visible on x-ray and CT. Football sign is also a sign of pneumoperitoneum.

Other signs of pneumoperitoneum include Rigler sign and inverted V sign.
