Congenital leg length discrepancy

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female

Right side proximal femoral focal deficiency. The right acetabulum is moderately dysplastic. The right femoral head is not visualized; however, a short proximally tapered femur is seen (class C according to the Aitken classification).

Case Discussion

Proximal focal femoral deficiency is a rare congenital anomaly occurring 1-2 per 100,000 live births.
