Presentation

Previous cardiac surgery for type A dissecting aortic aneurysm. Intractable arterial hypertension.

Patient Data

Age: 65
Gender: Male

Stenotic left renal artery arising from the caudal end of the false lumen of the dissecting aneurysm. Markedly reduced enhancement of the normal sized left kidney during the arterial phase.

Modality: Nuclear medicine

Massively reduced perfusion and loss of excretory function of the left kidney.

Modality: Ultrasound

Tardus parvus Doppler pattern with reduced resistive (Pourcelot) index of the left kidney.
