Large cavitary lesion in the right middle and lower zones showing dependent internal layering soft tissue density material with air crescent sign.
The right costo-phrenic angle is blunted.
Large air-filled cavity containing dependent crumpled membrane in the right middle lobe.
Wide-open bronchial communication.
Adjacent collapse and consolidation with air bronchograms.
Widespread micronodular opacities are seen in both lungs.
Enlarged bilateral hilar, right paratracheal, and subcarinal lymph nodes.
Right minimal pleural effusion and basal atelectasis.
Case Discussion
Hydatid disease is locally endemic and the features are typical for ruptured hydatid cyst with bronchial communication and superadded chest infection.
