Blind ending loop arising from the distal ileum traverses anteriorly inferior to the level of ileocecal junction.

Immediately after the origin of this diverticulum, there is a transition point with upstream loop dilatation in distal small bowel.

Case Discussion

Surgeon reports 10 cm Meckel diverticulum within an internal hernia through the small bowel mesentery and an adhesion band from the tip of the diverticulum obstructing the distal ileal loop.
