Moderate hydrocephalus with dilation of the lateral ventricles, third ventricle, and fourth ventricle. Diffuse leptomeningeal and basilar enhancement. No intracranial mass lesion. Diffuse cerebral edema and effacement of the sulci. No enhancing collections or abscesses are identified.
Case Discussion
Findings are characteristic of basilar predominant meningitis, typically seen in the setting of tuberculous meningitis in this endemic population. This is resulting in moderate hydrocephalus and requires urgent attention by neurosurgery.
