Info

Defect of filling at the ureterovesical junction with regular, well-defined edges accompanied by moderate right ureterohydronephrosis.

Case Discussion

The patient has an abdominal ultrasound (not shown) showing a cystic dilation at the ureterovesical junction.

Ureterocele is a congenital abnormality where the distal ureter swells at its opening into the bladder, forming a sac-like pouch. It can obstruct urine flow, potentially leading to urinary tract infections, hydronephrosis, and kidney damage if left untreated.
