Recurrent urinary tract infection for evaluation

Under strict aseptic precautions, the urinary bladder was catheterized, contrast administered and spot films taken under fluoroscopy.
Filling phase revealed passive reflux into both ureters.
Voiding phase showed reflux extending proximally upto both pelvicalyceal system with right ureter appearing dilated and tortuous.
Urinary bladder appears trabeculated.
This case demonstrates bilateral vesicoureteric reflux - right grade III and left grade II, with bladder trabeculation.
Serial voiding cystourethrogram is the standard procedure for evaluating and prognosticating urinary tract infections.
