A pleural pseudoplaque refers to a plaque-like pulmonary opacity, as seen on chest CT, which is contiguous with the visceral pleura formed by coalescent small nodules. It may mimic the appearance of a pleural plaque.
Pseudoplaques are most commonly seen in association with sarcoidosis, silicosis, and coal-worker pneumoconiosis.
