There is marked dilatation and contrast media stasis in the esophagus with tapering at the lower esophageal sphincter and irregular narrowing at the esophagogastric junction.
Case Discussion
Further endoscopic evaluation was performed regarding irregularities at the esophagogastric junction, and pseudoachalasia due to tumoral infiltration was ruled out.
Features are consistent with achalasia and a rat's tail sign.
