Case Discussion
Bipartite patella, also known as two-part patella, is an anatomical variant with an unfused accessory ossification center, most commonly at its superolateral aspect 1.
Ossification of the patella is normally visible by 3 to 5 years of age 2. The ossification centers of the patella fuse near 12 years of age, and complete ossification usually occurs by the end of puberty 3.
