There is fusion of the anteroinferior frontal lobes across midline, the ventricles are fused as well. septum pellucidum is not formed.
Superiorly the flax and interhemispheric fissure are seen. Partial corpus callosal agenesis is seen as well.
Case Discussion
Note that the degree of fusion of frontal lobes is more than would be expected in lobar variety, hence making this part of the semilobar spectrum of holoprosencephaly.
